Tell Me Your Tree Story

Proposal: Public art/outdoor installation

I will design and fabricate a site-specific outdoor installation composed of sculptural trees, animals, and human figures, painted on wood and weatherproofed with resin. These imaginative forms, co-developed through workshop input, will evoke a fantastical forest where all species coexist. The final work celebrates the stories, labor, and cultural memory of those who contributed.

The installation will be publicly presented in Fall 2026 at Sunset Park, a neighborhood home to vibrant Latinx, Asian, and immigrant communities. This setting offers a particularly meaningful context for the project’s exploration of diasporic identity and storytelling.
